Compilation Instructions
The code can be found here: https://codeberg.org/x11cp/x11cp.git
git clone https://codeberg.org/x11cp/x11cp.git && cd x11cp/src/xsysinfo
Direct compilation
From src/xsysinfo, generate the Makefile and compile:
xmkmf -a && make
Toplevel Makefile
Alternatively, build from the repository root:
make xsysinfo
The following libraries/dependencies are also required. The names of these will vary from each Linux distribution/BSD, hence the names of these libraries are generically specified:
- Xaw
About
xsysinfo is a system monitor written by Gabor Herr. It displays horizontal
bars for the one-minute load average, CPU idle time, memory and swap usage.
The load bar is divided into segments as the load increases; CPU idle includes
I/O wait and is measured across all CPUs.
The screenshot uses the supplied colour resources:
XAPPLRESDIR="$PWD/" ./xsysinfo -xrm '*customization: -color'
With these resources, the memory segments show other used RAM in a tomato colour, shared memory in green and buffers/cache in orchid. Unfilled space is free RAM; the swap bar shows the proportion used.
